Exmouth has one of the longest sandy beaches in Devon -- over 2 miles -- which attracts significant tourist and day-tripper traffic throughout the year. The beach-front car parks, the Marina car park, the town centre car parks on Imperial Road and Rolle Street, and the Exmouth seafront area are all regular callout locations for locked-in keys. Summer weekends in particular see high volumes of beach visitors, and distracted moments at the boot or tailgate are the most common cause.
